Ray Montford Group

Featuring some of the country's most renowned musicians, the Ray Montford Group's live shows are best known for their intense and visceral interpretations, their musical spontaneity and for leaving listeners on a natural high.

The band's most consistent long-standing member is drummer/percussionist and occasional east-meets-west vocalist Rob Greenway (aka brilliantfish). A songwriter himself, as well as an arranger/programmer/producer, Rob brings a wealth of musical savvy to the table. With over 30 years experience, he has worked with many diverse artists spanning the musical gamut from folk, roots and pop to electronic-ambient. He is considered one of the most creative drummers by his peers. He and Ray have been making music for almost twenty years and have built a strong friendship.

Bassist John Dymond has won Canada's Best Bass Player of the Year award so many times we've lost count. He has played and recorded on over 500 albums from various artists, between Canada and Nashville, and has toured with the incredible kd lang, as well as Bruce Cockburn and fiddler Nathalie McMaster. He is currently a steady band member of Colin Linden's band and Blackie and the Rodeo Kings. He also makes a wicked martini and loves re-building vintage motorcycles.
