Ray Montford GroupThe Ray Montford Group's live shows are best known for their intense and visceral interpretations, their musical spontaneity and for leaving listeners on a natural high. The ying to Ray's yang is long-standing member drummer/percussionist and occasional east-meets-west vocalist Rob Greenway (aka brilliantfish). Their musical interplay creates a synergy and chemistry which is only possible from years of playing together. A songwriter himself, as well as an arranger/programmer/producer, and with over 30 years of experience, he has worked with many diverse artists spanning the musical gamut from folk, rock and pop to electronic-ambient. Considered as one of the most creative drummers by his peers, he and Ray have been making music for almost twenty years. The RM Group have performed and recorded with some of the country's most talented and respected musicians, including bassists John Dymond, Ian de Souza, Rich Brown, Dylan Bell, Glen Olive, David Woodhead, Chris Gartner, Steve Lucas, Jim Creeggan, Andrew Downing and Mike Young, tabla players Ed Hanley, Ravi Naimpally, drummers Gary Craig, Ben Riley and Alan Heatherington, keyboardists Robert Best, Evelyn Datl and Mary Hanson, and reed players Miles Raine, Colleen Allen and Christopher Plock.
